Southampton forward Nathan Redmond is one of six Premier League players up for the EA Sports Player of the Month award for March.

Well, despite only playing in two leagues matches during the month, the England international has done enough to be nominated for the award.

That decision would have come mainly based on his performance in the 4-3 win against Watford, where the 23-year-old scored two fine goals to help his side pick up all three points.

He was a threat in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham last weekend too, but couldn’t help his side pick up a point.

Who is he up against?

The attacker faces stiff competition for the award, as he comes up against Bournemouth duo Artur Boruc and Josh King, Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Will he win it?

It will be difficult.

King scored four goals in two matches against Manchester United and West Ham, while Lukaku also got the same number for Everton in three top flight games.

At the other end of the pitch, Boruc and Sakho were crucial in helping their respective sides pick up important results during the month.

Saints fans can vote for their player, who made his senior debut for the Three Lions during the week, here.
